Whether you want to volunteer for a few hours or are looking for an ongoing opportunity to make real change, there are many ways to support our families and organization.

At Our Day Center

Our offices and family shelter are in Natick Center. The day center is our families’ home during their stay in our shelter program. It’s where they keep their belongings, meet with coaches, get ready for their day at work or school, and relax on the weekends. . Volunteers are needed in our day center to provide family and administrative support, including:

Meal Preparation: Like to cook? You can prepare a meal at home with your family or friends to deliver to a host congregation.

Dinner Hosting: If you’d like to meet our families, we invite volunteers to stay for dinner and share the evening with our guests and their children.

Office Volunteers: On the weekends, adult volunteers answer the phone, do activities with children, and are a welcoming presence for our guests. During the week, we often seek assistance in the office with mailings, covering the phones, or administrative projects.

Professional Expertise for Our Families: Volunteers often share their professional skills with our families. If you want to have a direct impact, you can help with resume writing, tutoring, job searches, and more.

Professional Expertise for Family Promise Metrowest: As a growing nonprofit, we have benefited from volunteers in our network offering professional skills in marketing, event planning, legal assistance and more. If you have an expertise, let us know how you’d like to help.

Overnight Hosts: When our live-in Shelter Manager is on vacation, we need an adult to spend the night in the building to be a resource and comforting presence for our resident families.

At Our Events

FPM has two annual fundraising events that rely on the support of an incredible events committee. If you would like to be part of this enthusiastic group, vital in the planning and execution of our “Keep the Promise” auction in November and the annual Walkathon in April, please let us know!
