Amanda Elkin

Communications & Marketing Director

With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oberlin College, Amanda began her career working with teens as a counselor and teacher for Upward Bound, an academic support program for low-income and first-generation college-bound students. After earning a master’s degree in Environmental Studies, she transitioned into publishing, working for Orion magazine and Harvard Business Press, before becoming a freelance editor. Amanda was also the Communications & Outreach Manager for Energy Fitness & Gymnastics for over a decade. She was a member of the Board of Directors for SPARK Kindness from 2016-2020, and is a graduate of the Leadership MetroWest class of 2017.

After volunteering on the event committee for three years, Amanda joined the Family Promise Metrowest staff in September 2015 as the Coordinator of our new Steps to Success program and in 2019 became our Assistant Director. In 2022, Amanda's role transitioned once again to become our Communications & Marketing Director. Amanda's unique blend of professional experience has supported the rapid growth and advancement of both our families and our organization.
